Your approach is equally valid and probably wiser.

I, however, chose a different path. I chose to work as little as possible while I was young, have as much fun and pleasure as possible, with the understanding that I would probably not live long enough to see 65.

I may have miscalculated.

glad you guys had a great time at startup weekend. hearing from different people in your group it sounds like you had a great team.

even though I didnt make the whole weekend I was glad I got to attend sunday night for the presentations.

You guys have way more energy and ambition than I do. If I go to the grocery store and the dry cleaner on the same day, I need a nap.

I have never, ever, had the desire to start my own business. I don’t want that much pressure. I’m perfectly content to whore myself out from 8-5. Then I can flip the “I don’t care” switch and spend the rest of my time doing fun stuff.

I’ve decided that even home ownership is too much of a drain on my psychic energy. I rent now. If there’s a problem, I make a phone call.

The best part of life is not being responsible for anything or accountable to anyone. I’m free. It’s all very Zen.

But that’s just me. I wish you all the best of luck, much happiness and good fortune.
